New: Teams with 8 riders

Since 2010 there will be one more discipline. Now the 24h-race can also be done by a team with 8 riders. So its possible tio do also the race even you are not an expert on the bike.

Groups in the 24h bicycle race

  • Individual riders (men)
  • Individual riders (women)
  • Teams of 2, men (including mixed)
  • Teams of 2, women
  • Teams of 4, men (including mixed)
  • Teams of 4 women
  • Teams of 8 men (including mixed)
  • Teams of 8 women

Only riders and teams will be judged who have at least been on the course for 16 hours and who have completed 50 percent of the distance of the winner in their group.

Award ceremony/prizes

The award ceremonies will take place at the event centre (pit grounds). The times can be found in the timetable. Each competitor is responsible for finding out the results of the race and when qualified has to get to the award ceremony punctually and with no further invitation.

If a competitor does not show up for the award ceremony, their claim for awards and prizes is nullified.

Medals and certificates

Each participant receives a medal and a certificate. The certificates are provided in two ways (which are both free). All certificates are available for download as PDF files after the event.

Participants who want their certificate printed out on site are provided with this service at the participant centre. Certificates for events which do not include time taking (RTF) are not available on the internet.

Age groups individual riders

Individual riders are divided into the following age groups. The allocation to the appropriate age group will be based on the date of birth.
Men/women m/f 1981-1992
Master 1 m/f 1970-1980
Master 2 m/f 1960-1969
Master 3 m/f 1950-1959
Master 4 m/f 1949 and older

Age groups 24h teams

The 24 h teams will be classified by the average age of the team members. This is based on the sum of the team members’ ages which is then divided by the number of members.
Men/women m/f up to 29 years
Master 1 m/f up to 40 years
Master 2 m/f up to 50 years
Master 3 m/f up to 60 years
Master 4  m/f 61 years or older

Age restriction

Every athlete, who is 18 years or above, may participate in the 24h race, the reference date for this is the first day of the event.
